Happy summer, everyone. I hope you are having a restful, rejuvenating summer. I’ve personally enjoyed sitting on our deck…birds singing in the trees, leaves blowing in the breeze, our toddler digging in the dirt, and the freshness of God’s creation. Good stuff.

God sparks the summer months at Faith Lutheran Church with baptisms, monthly all ages Bible study, weddings, Vacation Bible School with Camp of the Cross counselors, Wednesday morning Bible studies (currently discussing the book of Ephesians), Youth Mission/Learning trip to Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, a unified Sunday worship service including an outdoor worship service, and much more.

These are just some of the ways you can connect not only with our congregation through the summer/year, but more importantly with God. Also, keep electronically connected to FLC via Facebook, our website, and now Instagram. We are deeply grateful for your presence, generosity, and connection to this faith community. Thank you.

By mid-summer we’ve also entered a time of preparation for the fall of the year. I am very excited for us to unveil this fall’s theme connecting through worship, church school, and the life of the congregation! Stay tuned to publications in August and September.

But for now: The peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus…this summer and always.
